Cairo is the largest city in egypt and most popular city in Africa. Cairo was founded by the Fatimid Cliphh as a royal enclosure, and replaceed Fusfat as the seat of the goverment. After that, it ruled under The Mamluks, Ottomans and briefly occupied by Napoleon. Muhammad Ali of Egypt made Cairo the capital of his independent empire. British took control of it until Egypt independence in 1952.
Cairo is a metropolitan area and it has a population of about 7.7 milion people and it also the sixteenth most populous metropolitan area in the world. Today Cairo become a great city mix between various historic towns and modern districts into one.
There are many historical place to visits in Cairo such as pyramids, saladin’s citadel, the virgin Mary’s Tree, the Sphinx, Heliopolis and Al-Azhar.
For other imformation, Egypt was one most muslim knowledgement centre and rich with historical areas from ancient prophet likes Moses, Aoron, and Pharoah monument. You are welcom to visit Egypt.
