My last holiday was on a school break in 2003. My friends and I went to Langkawi Island. We flew from Kuching International Airport to KLIA. After that, we took a bus from Puduraya to Kuala Perlis. The journey to go to Langkawi Island from Kuala Perlis, tourists always took a ferry.
At Langkawi, we stayed at Langkasuka Resort. It was near the beach and we rent a car too. Sometimes, we went to the beach, but we never swim. At that time, the weather was always warm and sunny. We went to Padang Mat Sirat, Mahsuri Well, Mahsuri Tomb, Telaga Tujuh and Mount Mat Cincang, Langkawi’s second highest peak. At Langkawi, we never missed eating “Tomyam Putih”. It was very nice and quite spicy too. We also bought some chocolates and souvenirs at Pekan Kuah.
We also took for guaranteed to go to Tasik Dayang Bunting at Dayang Bunting Island. It was long journey. We enjoyed it very much because it is a very beautiful. The water in the lake was very cold and it is crystal clear. There were a lot of fishes in the lake. My friends and I went for a swim in the lake, but we used life jacket.
After three days and two nights at Langkawi, we travelled to Kuala Lumpur by bus. We went to KLCC and KL Tower. At KL Tower, visitors can have panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur. At Kuala Lumpur, we liked shopping too. We bought some clothes to make ‘Baju Kurung”. Then, we went back to Kuching after three days two nights at Kuala Lumpur. We really enjoyed our holiday. This is my best holiday so far. We will plan on going to Tioman Island and Pangkor Island again one day.
